Jacob sure has gotten taller in a year! The last time I took this picture was about a year ago. His listening to Coach Adam, discipline for the sport, and handling of the ball has improved so much! I understand now why they say soccer is a great way to introduce a sport to children. Self confidence eludes from him. We took a few months off during late fall and the holidays. He has not missed a beat being back though! My favorite new drill to watch is the cones. Jacob has to dribble the ball swiftly in and around cones without touching them and knocking off the mini ball set on top of them. Then at the end of the cone obstacle course he runs, hits and yells "score!" January and February is the first time we didn't have a girl in his class, which I have to say I love watching them play too on the field. In a few more months Jacob will be starting t-ball with EmmaKate, Ellie and Fox. They are his buds from church. T-ball is coed until pee wee league then the girls switch to softball and the boys of course in baseball. Joe is really looking forward to that as well. Baseball is his favorite sport to play with Jacob outside and at the park. Lots of excitement to look forward to! Excuse the hat hair in the pic, every time he takes it off we have a little crazy do. :) The shin guards are so little and cute!!
