5 months

This month has flown by for us! We had a lot going on!! Since Jacob was one month old he was sleeping through the night, and this past month he stopped doing that. With the go ahead from the doctor because he is such a big boy :), they told us to start rice cereal at night before bedtime. Jacob was ready for it!! I really wanted to wait till about 6 months, but with the way he is growing he looks and acts ready. We had been noticing that he was really watching us when we ate, and he was reaching for what we were eating. When I showed him the cereal on the spoon he immediately opened his mouth! AWWW!! Open Wide!! He loved it! So, we have been feeding him at bedtime and now he will sleep past 8 hours! It was hard for me to do at first, because I really wanted him to stay a "real" baby as long as I could. I love giving him his bottle, but I had to face the music. lalalalalal Baby Jacob is growing up!! :)
Soon we will introduce more stage one foods to him but right now, we are all very content with eating cereal at night. Jacob can do a few more new things this month other than starting solids. We noticed he is starting make some consonant sounds like Da, Ma, and Pa. His favorite new sound is making motor noises with his lips BBBBBBBB and sticking his tongue out and making a farting noise. Yes, of course this is Joe's favorite one! hahahahahaha It is pretty hilarious I must admit. Something else we had to do this month was get Jacob two new convertible car seats, because he has outgrown his infant carrier car seat. He seams much happier looking out the vehicles now that he feels and looks more comfy. Big Boy!
This past month Joe also had a business trip and I had a very busy month as well with meetings before and after work. Well, with him gone I noticed how much a big help and a team we really are. Doing errands, working, and taking care of myself and Jacob was quite the task! I have a new found respect for single mothers and ones that also work out there!! You do what you can....
On top of it all, I was sick with allergies the whole time. So, whewwwwwwww
I am much better now that life feels normal with my helpful and fabulous husband.
We feel so blessed everyday that our family is healthy, and we have such a handsome remarkable son that teaches us something new daily.

That first picture looks like you have a mini adult on your hands with his hat and big boy shoes. And I love the one of the three of them sleeping. Too cute! I can't wait to see him again.
