Santa Barbara was awesome the climate is just what we needed and it hit the spot! Nice and warm except the water! Yikes it was freezing!! You need a wet suit to get into it for a long period of time. The beach was great and we took some pics of crabs for Jake and brought home some sea shells for him too.
We went on four winery tours and it was so beautiful over the mountains to the valley where the vineyards are. The history and the making of the wine is very interesting. They also tell you about the climate and how the Santa winds effect so much vegetation. We also went segwaying which I have to say is so much FUN!! I recommend to everyone who is in Chicago, Miami or Santa Barbara.
I have to say though it is too ritzy for my taste, but it is a nice place to visit and relax. If you live there, a house like ours would be 500,000 to 700,000! Crazy stuff!! All in all, we had a wonderful time spending time together. We also had our own cabana by the pool. That and our spa massages were the nicest treat of the trip. When we got back to grandma's house it was amazing to get so many XOXOX from Mommy's boys!
