"Doctor Appointment"
Well, today Jacob had his two month appt. with the doctor. He weighs 12 1/2 lbs and is 23 inches long! He is in the 80 percentile for his weight (which means he is 80% heavier than babies his age)and he is in the 70 percentile for his height (which means he is 70% longer than most babies his age!) The doctor said he is not fat or chunky, he is just a big healthy guy. hahahahaha

I knew he was growing b/c he fits in some 3-6mo. clothing already. It is amazing how fast he has grown in two months. The doctor said his eyes might stay green since they have not changed much color, but no telling yet. We just thank God daily for such a handsome, healthy boy.
"Shots"
No matter what other parents tell you about shots, NOTHING prepares you for it. Jacob experienced his second set of shots today. He got a couple in the hospital, but I was not with him. Today he got one in each thigh. Now, all my family and friends know I am really scared of needles. I get allergy shots every week and yes, I got the wonderful epidural. I just can not look at them and I always turn away. Well, today I turned a new leaf. I saw everything! I teared up when they stuck him, and it just makes you feel so helpless when they are in pain. However, Jacob was a champ, and he didn't cry for very long. Way to go tough guy! With Bugs Bunny band aids on his thighs we were on our way home. See ya at 4 months doc!
"Look at what I can do!"
Jacob's reflexes are relaxing now. He no longer has fists all the time, and his muscle tone is also relaxing. He no longer swats around with his arms without any control. Gradually he is learning to control all his movements. He loves tummy time. He can hold his head up for longer than 10 seconds now! He loves pushing against my hands with his feet to move across the floor. He loves to fixate on an object and follow it. He will also bat at objects when he sees they are above him. He likes looking at lights and he looks for sources of particular sounds. Of course my favorite is his responses to people. He smiles and laughs all the time. After naps and bed time he is radiating with smiles. He loves sticking out his tongue too. On occasion, he has stuck it in my mouth when I get some sugar from him! hahahaha So many changes in so little time.... :)
